Neelu Bachra Centre

The Neelu Bachra Centre is a unique development along one of Vancouver’s busiest corridors at Broadway Central. The 6 storey commercial building features stratified offices on the upper floors and ground floor retail. The LEED Silver building also has a 4 level underground parkade and extensive amenities including a fitness room and 12,088 sqft landscaped rooftop terrace.

Carion’s scope of work required detailed attention to accommodate the slightly curved front elevation glazed curtain wall. This curtain wall feature is a distinctive component of the building facade. During construction, site access was significantly limited as the lane behind building could not be shut down. As such, Broadway Street was the only point of access.

The powerlines in the back lane impacted the location of the crane swing. To manage this issue, we purchased 3M concrete buckets to achieve bucket drops between powerlines and trolley lines. This also increased productivity to ensure our project schedule was achieved.
